Prof. Dr. Ekrem YILDIZ

Born in Yozgat in 1955, Ekrem Yıldız studied production management at the Faculty of Management in Atatürk University and graduated in 1980. He became a research assistant in the same faculty in the field of capital market and investment analyses. He received his PhD in accounting and finance in 1985. He was an assistant professor in the same faculty in 1987. When he earned associate professorship in finance it was 1991. He was transferred to the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences in Kırıkkale University in 1993 and appointed the first director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences. He served in this capacity till 1997, when he became a professor. He also served in the capacity of the head of the department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences between 1996 and 2002. He was the dean of the same faculty from January 2009 to February 2010. Apart from his capacities and studies at university, he also worked for the Ministry of Finance as a member of the Internal Audit Coordination Council from 2004 to 2009. He was a member of the Supervision Council of the Turkish Central Bank between 2007 and 2010. He was elected Rector of Kırıkkale University in 2010.
